220V Electric Uncapping Knife with Heated Stainless Steel Blade and Wooden Handle

Lift and remove hive frames with better control using this Beehive Frame Gripper from Maghi Ram & Sons. Designed to grip the top bar of a compatible wooden frame, it helps beekeepers lift frames from the hive during colony inspections, brood checks and honey harvesting.
Simply squeeze the two wooden handles together to close the metal jaws around the frame’s top bar. The scissor-style mechanism creates a firm grip, while the spring-assisted action allows the jaws to open again when pressure is released.
The smooth wooden handles provide a comfortable hold, and the strong metal body is suitable for regular apiary work. This compact hand tool is especially useful when frames are tightly positioned or difficult to lift while wearing beekeeping gloves.

How it works

The open jaws are positioned around the top bar of the hive frame. When the beekeeper squeezes the wooden handles, the jaws close and grip the frame.

The frame can then be lifted slowly from the hive for inspection. When it has been returned to the correct position, releasing the handles allows the jaws to open.

Safety information

Always grip the wooden top bar, not the honeycomb itself. Confirm that both jaws are positioned evenly before lifting. Do not lift a heavy or stuck frame using the gripper alone—loosen it first with a hive tool.

Keep fingers away from the jaws and pivot points to avoid pinching. Use slow, controlled movements to prevent dropping the frame or injuring bees.
